April 3rd: Happy Tweed Day!

When most people think of tweed, they think of a wooly fabric, used for suit coats and skirts meant to be worn in the winter.  However, Google tweed and you’ll see that it’s way more than a fabric.  This day can celebrate many different possibilities:

1)      Tweed: woven fabric from the UK, often worn by college professors.  Can be paired with suede elbow patches

2)      Tweed, William M.:  a corrupt New York politician during the late 1800s

3)      Tweed Airport: a small airport in New Haven, CT close to my hometown

4)      Tweed, Shannon: an actress who began her career as Miss November for Playboy.  She is now the voice of “mom fish” in Spongebob Squarepants.

5)      Tweed: a city in Ontario, Canada.  Here is main street of this town:
